We are excited to share the results of a survey of Humy users.
- 40% of teachers reported they would be “very disappointed” and 52% “somewhat disappointed” if they could no longer use Humy—indicating healthy interest among teachers using our platform.
- Teachers reported that Humy benefits students the most compared to teachers and school administrators. Engagement & immersion were the benefits most frequently named: “Humy brings the ancient world to life and exponentially impacts student learning.”
- Skill/knowledge development, instant feedback, and authentic historical perspective were also mentioned as student benefits.
- Teachers requested the following improvements: better student onboarding, higher immersion, and a more diverse historical figure set. Our team will prioritize these requests throughout the next year.
The survey was answered by 25 teachers who have been actively using Humy. Most of these teachers teach Social Studies / History (middle & high school), and a few teach STEM in US public and private schools.
This data suggest that Humy increases student engagement, consistent with results from last year’s survey, in which 85% of middle school students stated that they wanted to use Humy at least every week.
This result is also in line with emerging academic evidence on the positive impact of AI on education, with one meta-analysis of 51 studies suggesting that ChatGPT significantly improves students’ learning performance.
