Press-release

Humy.ai, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is pleased to announce a one-year collaboration with the Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz, Austria. The university has ordered 10 licenses of Humy.ai software for its professors and affiliated schoolteachers, for scientific research and evaluation of Humy.ai’s potential in secondary and higher education in Austria.

The Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz offers master’s degrees, academically certified courses, and training courses for professional development across a wide variety of fields. More than 700 participants are currently enrolled in its courses.

“The Humy.ai platform is suitable for educational processes and research projects, as a generative AI application it exemplifies precisely those forms of use that can be investigated in innovative learning opportunities. Humy.ai can thus be linked, in theory, to the humanistic understanding of media education and to the reflective use of AI, which means that the connection between these two approaches is strengthened. The platform is particularly relevant to research questions concerning usage intensity, the perceived effects on learning and teaching processes, and the competence and further training needs of teachers.”

Christian Leutgeb, MEd, Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz, Austria.

Humy.ai specializes in creating Humies: simulations of historical, cultural, and scientific figures brought back to life using historical sources and artificial intelligence. The platform serves over 80 schools, mostly in North America and Europe, and is expanding into universities.

“We are excited to contribute to the educational and research work at the Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz. The questions the university wants to study, how intensively teachers and students actually use a tool like this, what effect it has on learning and teaching, and what training teachers need to use it well, are important for understanding how to design responsible AI platforms and implement them in educational settings. We will provide not only the software but also share what we have learned from our partnerships with other universities and schools, to help the university reach its goals with this project.”

Stas Shakirov, Co-founder and CEO of Humy.ai.
